It is the year 1315 AF and King Roald is content to rule his beloved kingdom alone with his Companion. But members of the court are starting to fuss that he will have no heir and are therefore bringing to the land suitors from all around Velgarth.
So start the many festivities set into motion for the young women to try to woo the King. Hilarity and drama are sure to ensue.
Meanwhile, life in Valdemar goes on. Children are Chosen. Musicians realize their true talent. Healers save the body and spirit. Men and women guard their country and settle disputes. .
